Meet the Producer
Burgundy is celebrated for its intricate mosaic of small vineyard plots, each contributing a unique expression to the region’s wines. Les Héritiers Saint-Genys is a leading producer of white Mercurey, dedicated to crafting wines that reflect the character of their terroir and the precision of traditional Burgundian winemaking.
Production
The fruit comes from a 7.5-hectare single-walled vineyard, half of which is planted with 50-year-old Chardonnay vines farmed using reasoned agriculture. Grapes are hand-harvested and carefully placed in small ventilated boxes to preserve quality during transport. Fermentation is carried out in oak barrels using classic Burgundian techniques, followed by extended ageing in oak to develop structure, richness, and subtle oak complexity.
Tasting Notes
The nose is savoury and toasty, while the palate shows richness and refinement, with gently creamy oak integration. The wine is full-bodied and complex, with a fine linear structure and a long, elegant finish. Food match Pairs beautifully with roast chicken, grilled white fish, or mushrooms on toast. Grape Chardonnay 100%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
