Meet the Producer
Founded in 1992 in the hamlet of Marananga, Lone Palm Vineyards offers stunning views over its old vineyards and iconic Barossa gum trees. The winery focuses on producing site-specific wines that reflect the character of the Barossa Valley, blending traditional winemaking methods with careful, modern precision.
Production
Fruit is sourced from three very old vineyards—two on the western ridge at Seppeltsfield and one on the Valley floor in Nuriootpa. All grapes are hand-picked and fermented separately, with 18–20% whole bunches and the remainder whole berries. Fermentation is natural, wild, and carefully temperature-controlled for 10–12 days. Wines are gently basket-pressed into seasoned French oak hogsheads and aged for 12 months before being selected and blended. Bottled unfined and unfiltered to maintain vineyard integrity.
Tasting Notes
Ripe black cherry aromas, reminiscent of freshly squeezed juice, mingle with subtle cinnamon and clove. The palate is rich yet lifted, with bright red fruit and a hint of gamey complexity on the finish. Elegant, expressive, and ethereal. Food match Perfect with pink, seared duck, Chinese-style ribs, warm goat’s cheese, and spiced mutton curries. Grape Grenache Noir 100%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
