Louis Jadot Château des Jacques Moulin-à-Vent is a rich and powerful Cru Beaujolais from one of the region's most prestigious appellations. Crafted from 100% Gamay grapes grown on the distinctive pink granite soils of Moulin-à-Vent, this wine displays the essence of its appellation with elegant fruit, supple tannins and freshness.
Why You'll Love It
This is Moulin-à-Vent at its finest—rich, powerful, and beautifully structured. Often called the 'King of Beaujolais', Moulin-à-Vent produces wines with exceptional depth and ageing potential. This wine is a blend from Château des Jacques' eight great terroirs: Rocheprès, Carquelin, Champ de Cour, Thorins les Vérillats, La Roche, La Rochelle and Les Caves. The result is a wine that showcases the unique character of Moulin-à-Vent with outstanding complexity and elegance.
Vineyard & Production
Sourced from eight exceptional terroirs across Moulin-à-Vent, each with distinctive pink granite soils showing various depths, alterations and exposures. Grapes are hand-picked and sorted, often de-stemmed, then macerate slowly over three to four weeks. Both pigeage and pumping take place during fermentation depending on vintage characteristics. The wines are aged for 10 months in concrete tanks and oak barrels in the historic cellar, using oak from the forests of Allier, Limousin and Nivernais.
Tasting Notes
This elegant Moulin-à-Vent opens with aromas of ripe red and black fruit, layered with notes of cherry, violet and subtle spice. The palate is rich and powerful, showing concentrated fruit character with supple tannins and vibrant freshness. The finish is long and refined, with excellent structure and balance.
Perfect Pairings
A versatile food wine, perfect with Boeuf Bourguignon, roasted meats, game, duck, charcuterie, or hearty stews. Also excellent with aged cheeses and rustic French cuisine.

Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
