Cellar for up to 15 years. Decant for up to an hour before serving. Xisto Ilimitado is a nuanced taste of the new Douro style, bursting with notes of red and blue fruits, wet rock, and floral hints. In classic Portuguese style, it is a blend of many native varieties: 30% Touriga Franca, and 20% each of Tinta Amarela and Tinta Roriz. Smaller amounts of Rufete, Tinta Barroca, Malvasia and Donzelinho make up the rest. Luis Seabra is a pioneering wine-maker, with a modest 8 hectares spread across 3 different regions: Vinho Verde, Dao and Douro. He has been hailed as one of the leaders of the recent Portuguese wine renaissance, creating a fascinating range of wine from native varieties and old vines. After 20-odd years in the business, Luis founded his own winery in 2013 and has been making waves in the Portuguese wine industry ever since. This wine is a bright garnet colour, with an equally bright and youthful character. It is dry and full-bodied on the palate, with vivacious acidity and finely-grained tannins.
