For several generations, Maison Valette has cultivated a unique approach to wine in Burgundy. Here, there is no pursuit of standardisation: each cuvée is conceived as the truest possible expression of the grape, the season and the terroir. This Mâcon-Chaintré Vieilles Vignes perfectly illustrates this unique philosophy. Made from old Chardonnay vines cultivated without compromise, it blends the 2018, 2022 and 2023 vintages a rare choice in Burgundy that brings greater complexity, depth and natural balance to the wine. Maison Valette favours long, unhurried ageing to allow the wine to develop at its own pace. This artisanal approach produces particularly dense and expressive whites, far removed from technological or standardised profiles. The wine develops a full-bodied and complex aromatic profile, characterised by ripe fruit, candied citrus, floral notes and a hint of spice. On the palate, it combines a rich texture, natural tension and great length. Despite its depth, the balance remains precise, underpinned by a mineral freshness that gives the wine its structure. This cuvée fully reflects Maison Valette's style: free-spirited, lively wines designed to evolve over time.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
