The Volnay 1er Cru Clos de la Barre, exclusive to the Jadot estate and situated near the prestigious Pommard and Meursault appellations, stands out for its fruity character with notes of vanilla, berries and violets. It is aged for around 18 months in oak barrels, about a third of which are new. With age, this Volnay reveals aromas of blackberries, blueberries, morello cherries and prunes, complemented by other fruity nuances. On the palate, it has a round, silky texture, and the finish offers lovely length. The Clos de la Barre monopole is unquestionably a wine designed for fine dining. It will pair perfectly with a cut of beef in sauce and delight your guests during your most special occasions!
