Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant. Marinic is a Slovenian company located in Vedrijan, near the Dobrovo Castle, in the heart of Collio Brda, an area famous especially for the production of white wines, characterized by a unique terroir that extends beyond the Italian border. The elegant wines of the Marinic family are born from the collaboration with Charles-Louis de Noüe, a French winemaker and co-owner of Domaine Leflaive in Burgundy. The Ribolla Gialla grapes are carefully selected and hand-picked from the oldest vineyards on the estate (between 40 and 50 years old), planted on soils composed of sandstone and limestone and cultivated without chemical aids. After fermentation with indigenous yeasts, the wine rests for 18 months, half in steel and half in barrique. Ribolla Gialla Gaugnaz I Cru is a complex and multifaceted wine with bright straw-yellow color and golden reflections. On the nose, it reveals a broad aromatic profile with citrus and ripe peach notes, mineral and menthol hints, white flowers and candied citron peel nuances . On the palate, it is voluminous, vigorous, and well-structured, with a medium body, a refreshing and well-balanced acidity, and a long finish characterized by a pleasant mineral vein. It is versatile in food pairings: it goes well with fish, white meat, and even medium-aged cheeses.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
