Located at the northern entrance to Morey-Saint-Denis, the En la Rue de Vergy vineyard takes its name from the old road linking the village to the Vergy hill, a historic landmark of medieval Burgundy. On this terroir of well-drained clay-limestone soils, the Pinot Noir finds an expression that is both delicate and structured, true to the village's identity. Domaine Bruno Clair, a leading name in the Côte de Nuits, presents with the 2023 vintage a wine of fine maturity, without heaviness, shaped by precise winemaking and perfectly integrated ageing in oak barrels. The result is a harmonious Morey-Saint-Denis, at once expressive, elegant and deep, which captivates as much with its fruit as with its texture. The wine reveals a refined aromatic palette, blending red and black fruits, floral notes and hints of spice. On the palate, the texture is silky, the tannins are fine and well-defined, and the whole unfolds into a fresh, slightly mineral finish, typical of the appellation. Ready to drink now after aeration, it will gain further complexity over the next 8 to 12 years.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
