Grown on the steep slopes of the Côte du Py, this Morgon draws its character from a unique terroir of volcanic rock and schist, capable of imparting remarkable depth and energy to the Gamay. Maison Piron offers an ambitious interpretation, where the richness of the fruit is combined with a perfectly controlled structure. Aromas of blackberry, black plum and cherry mingle with hints of violet, liquorice and smoky stone. On the palate, the wine displays a generous and concentrated body, underpinned by lovely freshness and firm tannins that lend it depth without ever weighing it down. An intense, elegant and deeply expressive cuvée, with that combination of power and finesse that defines the character of the great Morgons of the Côte du Py.
