On the granite-clad heights overlooking the Gulf of Valinco, Domaine Sant Armettu has for generations been crafting a wine in its own image, rooted in an island unlike any other. Myrtus Rouge 2024 is its truest expression. Its deep, intense colour heralds a wine of character. The nose soon confirms this, with ripe red fruits and crushed strawberries against a backdrop of supple leather, followed by a hint of spice that evokes the garrigue in summer. On the palate, Myrtus unfolds with rare harmony. The texture is silky, the tannins precisely integrated, and the body full-bodied without ever feeling heavy. The finish is long and lingering, leaving a spicy, mineral impression that betrays the granite-rich terroir. This wine improves with age. A few years in the cellar refine its contours, deepen its spicy notes and reveal a complexity that its youth still holds in reserve. At the table, it pairs beautifully with roast lamb seasoned with herbs from the maquis, confit meats or the island’s mature cheeses.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
