Niepoort Dry White Rabbit is a traditionally crafted white Port made with extended skin maceration and aged in small oak casks for an average of 3.5 years. It is elegant and versatile, perfect served chilled as an aperitif or as a long drink with tonic water, ice, and a twist of lemon.
Meet the Producer
Niepoort, a renowned family-owned winery in the Douro and Porto regions, combines traditional Port-making methods with innovation. The estate is known for producing distinctive Ports that showcase the character of the Douro terroir while maintaining precision and elegance.
Production
White grapes undergo long skin maceration, occasionally with foot treading in lagares, with fermentation proceeding nearly to dryness before fortification with pure grape brandy. The wine is then aged in small, old oak casks in the Vila Nova de Gaia cellars for at least 3.5 years before bottling, creating complexity and a concentrated spirit character.
Tasting Notes
The wine shows a golden-brown colour with a delightful aroma of nuts and almonds. On the palate, these nutty notes are complemented by a fresh, concentrated, and slightly spirity finish, reflecting the extended ageing in oak. Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
