Source-supplied bottle description

Nyetimber Classic Cuvée Multi-Vintage NV is an elegant English sparkling wine crafted exclusively from estate-grown Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier. Grapes are sourced from south-facing vineyards planted on chalk and greensand soils across Nyetimber’s holdings in Sussex, Hampshire, and Kent. Hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, the grapes undergo gentle pressing in shallow Coquard presses, stainless steel vinification, malolactic fermentation, and ageing on lees for 36 months. The wine is then disgorged with a precise dosage, resulting in a complex, refined sparkling wine with vibrant fruit, delicate autolytic notes, and a long, elegant finish.

Meet the Producer

Established in 1988, Nyetimber is a pioneering English sparkling wine estate. It was the first producer in England to craft wines exclusively from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier, and is now regarded as one of the country’s finest sparkling wine houses, producing wines of Grande Marque standard under the guidance of owner Eric Heerema and Head Winemaker Cherie Spriggs.

Production

Grapes are hand-picked parcel by parcel to ensure optimal maturity and gently pressed in Coquard presses. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel with malolactic conversion to soften acidity.

The Blend

incorporates approximately 30% reserve wines and is aged on its lees for 36 months, followed by disgorgement and a final resting period before release.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
