The description below is the retailer’s own wording.

The 2022 Odette Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Stags Leap District, is defined by the pursuit of vibrant, dark-toned fruit. Primary aromas of black orchid, Moyer plum, star anise, and cinnamon waft over savory notes of beef drippings and cedar. Bright mulberry, blackcurrant preserves, and raspberry liqueur flavors are tightly folded into layers of polished tannin, propelled across the palate on an exhilarating wave of acidity. Blend: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon Darker in flavor profile than the regular bottling, Odette's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve spent 22 months in new French oak. Scents of black cherries, vanilla and suede mark the nose, while the full-bodied palate is plush, velvety and supple-it really nails the textural side of the quality equation, even if it could show more nuanced complexity on the nose. Expect some of that to develop with bottle age as it matures over the next decade or so.Rating: 96+ Bold, savory and perfumed notes of blackberries, blueberry compote, liqueur and spices. The palate is full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel supported by finely integrated tannins, offering layers of dark fruit and notes of olive tapenade, cassia bark, violets and spices. A powerful wine with a fresh undertone. Try from 2026.
