Luna Gaia Zibibbo Maganza is a mesmerising, aromatic white from Sicily — made from one of the world's rarest and most ancient grape varieties, with a history stretching back 5,000 years to ancient Egypt, brought to Sicily by the Phoenicians. Biodynamic certified, vegan, and fermented with ambient yeasts to let the grape speak entirely for itself, this is a wine of extraordinary perfume, complexity, and character. There is nothing quite like it.
Why You'll Love It
Luna Gaia is born from a partnership between Cantina Orsogna and BioGaia, a biodynamic Sicilian farmer collective. The labels are a visual homage to L'Opera dei Pupi Siciliana — the Sicilian Puppet Opera, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage — and each wine tells a chapter of Ludovico Ariosto's Italian epic poem Orlando Furioso. The front label depicts the fight between Orlando and Rinaldo, both in love with Princess Angela. The wine is as captivating as the story.
Vineyard & Production
Zibibbo — the Sicilian name for Muscat of Alexandria — is grown on Sicily's volcanic soils under a maritime influence that imparts elegance and mineral character. Biodynamic certified and certified sustainable. Fermented with ambient yeasts to allow the grape to express its own intensely perfumed character. Unoaked. Off-dry. 13% ABV. Cork closure. Vegan and vegetarian. Contains sulphites.
Tasting Notes
Mesmerising aromatics of white blossom, honeysuckle, and Mediterranean herbs on the nose. The palate is full and expressive — ripe peach, candied orange peel, and hints of subtle mango, with a savoury saline note on the finish. Beautifully balanced by a crisp acidity that stands up to the fruit intensity. Medium-bodied and endlessly intriguing.
Perfect Pairings
Excellent with Asian stir-fries, sushi, scallops in a cream sauce, and spiced seafood dishes. Also a wonderful match for Moroccan-inspired cuisine, soft cheeses, and aromatic rice dishes.

Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
