Why You'll Love It
Awarded 92 Points by JamesSuckling.com, Celeste Crianza is crafted at some of the highest vineyards in the DO, near Fompedraza and the Duratón River, where the extreme climate and high-altitude soils yield grapes of remarkable quality and concentration. Familia Torres, one of Spain's most respected wine families with a legacy dating back to 1870, brings the same commitment to terroir and precision here as across their entire portfolio. For lovers of classic Ribera del Duero, this is a wine that delivers real depth and character at an outstanding price.
Vineyard & Production
Sourced from the highest vineyards of the DO, near Fompedraza and the Duratón River, where a unique terroir of moorlands and valleys, combined with Ribera del Duero's extreme continental climate and high-altitude soils, produces grapes of exceptional quality. The wine spends 12 months ageing in French and American oak barrels, followed by a further 12 months of bottle ageing, developing the balance, depth, and structure that define a classic Crianza.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in the glass. The nose offers ripe dark fruit, spice, and a subtle oak influence from the barrel ageing. The palate is elegant and concentrated, with silky tannins, layers of fruit and spice, and a long, lingering finish of real class and balance.
Perfect Pairings
A natural partner for roasted lamb, beef, and game dishes. Also excellent alongside slow-cooked stews, aged hard cheeses, and classic Spanish tapas. Grape Varieties Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) 100%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
