Meet the Producer
Founded in 1919, Domaine Papagiannakos is one of Attica's most respected estates, situated in the Mesogaia plain just 30km from Athens. Now in its third generation, the family combines a deep respect for authentic Greek varieties with a modern, precision-led approach to winemaking, producing wines that are both terroir-driven and consistently excellent. Vineyard and Production The blend draws on old vines grown on clay soils in gently sloping vineyards at around 300m altitude. After a 5-day cold soak, fermentation lasts 15 days at controlled temperatures, with each variety vinified separately before blending. The wine then spends 6 months in new French oak barrels, adding structure and complexity while preserving the vibrant fruit at its core.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of ripe black and red fruits open the nose, with cassis and bramble richness leading to a finely structured, approachable palate. Silky tannins, subtle savoury notes, and a hint of liquorice on the finish are lifted by well-integrated oak.

Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
