Pasión de Bobal, is a barrel-fermented organic Bobal from high-altitude vineyards near Valencia – rich, structured, and full of character.
Meet the Producer
Bodega Sierra Norte’s 67-hectare Finca Fuenteseca estate lies on the rugged plateau of Utiel-Requena, nearly 1,000 metres above sea level. With a strong focus on sustainability, the winery follows organic principles and respects the natural ecosystem, producing wines that reflect their unique terroir and native grape varieties.
Production
Made from the estate’s oldest, low-yielding Bobal vines. These grow in loam plains rich in red clay and Miocene conglomerates, giving natural concentration and structure to the fruit. Older vines are harvested for complexity and depth, while strict yield control preserves balance and quality. The wine is barrel-fermented, then undergoes malolactic fermentation and matures for six months in French barriques, adding finesse and gentle oak character.
Tasting Notes
Aromatic and expressive with ripe blackberry, plum, and sweet vanilla. The palate is rich yet balanced, with dark fruits, toasty oak, smooth tannins, and a lifted, generous finish. A fine example of how Bobal can deliver both structure and elegance. Food match Perfect with full-flavoured beef or lamb dishes, hard cheeses, or a spread of charcuterie. Grape Bobal 100%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
