Based in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, Penfolds produces a range of high-quality wines that are loved by wine enthusiasts all around the globe. The winery is particularly famous for its iconic wine, Grange, which is considered one of Australia's greatest wines and has received numerous accolades over the years. Penfolds are true experts when it comes to Shiraz, and this sublime cuvee is no exception. Fruit is sourced from selected vineyards in Barossa, McLaren Vale, and other top South Australia appellations with a particular focus on warmer climate sub-regions. The result is a powerful and robust red that is sure to delight lovers of classic Australian Shiraz. Once in the winery the fruit is expertly vinified and then transferred to American oak hogsheads for 12 months which adds attractive notes of vanilla and spice to the intense fruit flavours. On the nose, Penfolds Bin 28 Shiraz 2020 offers aromas of black cherry, plum, and dark chocolate, with hints of vanilla and spice.
