Meet the Producer

Boutinot South Africa is dedicated to capturing the essence of the Coastal Region, sourcing grapes from carefully tended vineyards and producing wines that balance freshness, fruit concentration, and character.

Production

A blend of 75% Chenin Blanc (30+ year-old vines) and 25% Viognier (15-year-old vines), primarily from the Swartland. Part of the Chenin Blanc is fermented with wild yeasts and kept on lees for extended contact, giving a rounded palate and concentrated fruit. The cool coastal climate with low rainfall and winter vine rest ensures optimal grape quality.

Tasting Notes

Perfumed aromas of white peach, jasmine, and subtle floral notes. The palate is crisp and fresh with white fleshy stonefruit, citrus, and a touch of minerality, leading to a clean and lively finish. Food match Ideal with grilled prawns with garlic and chili, whole lemon sole fried in butter, or delicate freshwater fish dishes. Grape Chenin Blanc 75%, Viognier 25%

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
