Perez Cruz Carmenere Limited Edition is a premium expression of Carmenere from Vina Perez Cruz, a family-owned boutique winery located in the Maipo Alto subregion of Chile . Renowned for producing concentrated, expressive red wines , the estate covers 250 hectares of vines and has earned international acclaim since its first vintage in 2002. Perez Cruz is certified by Sustainable Wines of Chile, and its eco-friendly winery, designed by award-winning architect Jose Cruz Ovalle, combines natural light, thermal insulation and free air circulation for optimum winemaking conditions. Vineyard The grapes are sourced from low-yielding, double Guyot-trained vines on the Liguai Estate, located in the Maipo Valley's Maipo-Andes subregion. Situated at 440 to 520 metres above sea level, the vineyard sits in the mountain foothills with alluvial soils of low fertility. Drip irrigation is employed and harvest is carried out entirely by hand once the grapes reach optimal maturity, ensuring exceptional quality and concentration.
Winemaking
After hand-picking, the grapes are carefully selected before being crushed into stainless steel tanks. Fermentation occurs over seven days at controlled temperatures of 23 to 27 degrees Celsius, with 15 days of skin contact. Daily pump-overs are adjusted based on tastings to achieve precise extraction of colour, tannins and flavour. The wine undergoes an additional six-day maceration before being racked into French oak barrels for 14 months of maturation, with 15% new oak enhancing structure and complexity.
Tasting Notes

Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
