Source-supplied bottle description

The characteristic aromas of Syrah – red fruits such as blackcurrant, raspberry and black cherry, with a hint of spice – are evident in this Saint-Joseph Poivre et Sol cuvée. The palate is supple and the acidity is perfectly balanced. A wine that lives up to its name thanks to the aromas of sweet pepper on the mid-palate. Yet another sure bet from François Villard, a trained chef and wine enthusiast since the age of 20. Aged for 14 months in 3- to 6-year-old oak barrels, this Saint-Joseph has excellent ageing potential. It’s a winner!

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
