Produced in the sublime Salento region, in southern Puglia, this delightful Primitivo di Manduria DOC Riserva pays homage to local traditions. At the heart of the cuvée are grapes harvested in two stages (classic and late harvests, a hallmark of Doppio Passo wines), vinified using the original submerged cap' method and aged for 24 months, including at least 9 months in oak barrels. The result is a Primitivo with varietal characteristics, full-bodied and well-structured. On the palate, the 2022 vintage offers soft, enveloping tannins, balanced by a fruity bouquet with aromas of blackberry and cherry, along with some spicy notes. A Primitivo with character and good ageing potential.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
