What is in this wine, and where it grows
The wine
Produttori Vini Manduria Alice Verdeca 2024 Wine (75cl) is recorded as a 2024 white wine made from Primitivo in Puglia, Italy.
Typical grape profile: Primitivo — Jammy dark fruit and warm spice; genetically the same grape as Zinfandel. The finished bottle can differ with vintage and winemaking.
The vineyard evidence
No verified vineyard or named parcel is linked yet. BottlePicker therefore does not assign a soil, elevation or site temperature to this bottle from its regional name alone.
Soil structure and vine density
No site-specific soil or planting-density record is available for this bottle.
Growing-temperature context
For general cultivar-level heat guidance, see the Primitivo growing profile. BottlePicker does not apply a generic range to this bottle without a verified vineyard link.
Official geographic-register context
What the official register confirms about Puglia
BottlePicker found an exact region-name match in an official wine or spirits register. This establishes useful regional context; it does not by itself prove that this particular bottle is entitled to the designation. Check the producer label and specification for that claim.

Produttori di Manduria Alice Verdeca is a compelling white wine from the heel of Italy — a region far better known for its Primitivo reds. Made from 100% Verdeca, a native white varietal grown on old bush vines, this is a wine of real aromatic intensity, vibrant freshness, and a distinctly Mediterranean character that sets it apart from the crowd.
Why You'll Love It
Verdeca is one of Puglia's most exciting indigenous white grapes, and Produttori di Manduria — a cooperative with decades of experience in the region — are among its finest interpreters. Unoaked and fermented at low temperatures to lock in freshness and aromatics, Alice is the kind of white wine that makes you sit up and take notice. A SWA 2025 Bronze medal winner.
Vineyard & Production
Sourced from 15–20-year-old espalier-trained vines harvested at the end of August. Fermentation takes place off the skins under controlled temperatures (15°C), followed by ageing in stainless steel to preserve the wine's aromatic intensity, minerality, and natural freshness before bottling.
Tasting Notes
Delicate aromas of hawthorn and acacia on the nose, with notes of cedar, yellow grapefruit, and subtle mineral and saline nuances. The palate is fresh, savoury, and beautifully balanced, finishing with citrusy brightness and lingering floral notes.
Perfect Pairings
A natural match for seafood and light Mediterranean dishes. Try it with Caprese salad, baked seabass with lemon potatoes, seabream carpaccio, or golden deep-fried anchovies. Also excellent as an aperitivo.
The Blend
Verdeca 100% — Puglia, Italy. Unoaked. 75cl bottle.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
