Read the retailer’s description
The description below is the retailer’s own wording.
It opens with lemon zest, tangerine, and floral notes, accompanied by creamy undertones that give way to mineral hints and subtle salinity. The palate balances smooth texture with fresh acidity, offering flavours of pear, almond, saffron, and a touch of ginger spice that lingers in the fragrant and refreshing aftertaste.Blend: 50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Blanc The nose is savory, umami and herbaceous, almost to the point of smokiness, while the plate adds fresh, tart lemons and sweet stone fruit to keep more nutty, umami notes and earth herbs in balance. The finish is so savory and dense you almost want to bite this wine. The 2022 Batàr is airy, fresh and nuanced. Hints of tangerine oil, mint, lemon peel, almond and dried flowers are all nicely lifted in this aromatic, refreshing white. The style continues to move in the direction of energy and vibrancy. These days, there's minimal lees-stirring and just a hint of new oak, a response to changing climate conditions and stylistic preferences. This is beautifully done and also quite expressive, especially for a wine that was just bottled. This white is hitting its sweet spot, featuring nutty, toasted vanilla and baking spice aromas and flavors. A core of peach and apple gives way to grapefruit peel on the finish. Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. Drink now through 2032.
