Source-supplied bottle description

Retained as supporting identification copy; the structured facts and evidence links above are kept separate.

The 2011 Quinta de la Romaneira consists of 80% Touriga Nacional. It has an open, more approachable bouquet compared to the Quinta do Noval, with clove and dry tobacco infusing the carapace of black fruit, and hints of iodine developing with aeration. The palate is very smooth on the entry with a dash of white pepper and ginger. It is very harmonious with a slightly viscous mouthfeel and a beguiling gentle build to its marmalade-infused finish. The exoticism here is very attractive, though I suspect that will ebb away as the Port matures. Tasted May 2013.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
