Average nutritional values for 100gr Calories 821 Kcal/3421 Kj Total Fats 91.2 g Founded in 1877 in Vila Nova de Foz Côa by Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, Quinta do Vale Meão is a Portuguese winery located in the Douro Valley and still managed by the descendants of its founder. The company, internationally awarded several times and recognized as one of the most important in the country, produces a wide range of dry wines and Port wines, as well as olive oil. The estate includes 33 hectares of centuries-old olive groves planted in 1887 by Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira. Thanks to the area's unique microclimate, which eliminates the use of pesticides and chemicals, the trees are organically grown. The oil is produced from Verdeal, Cordovil, Negrinha do Freixo, and Cobrançosa olive varieties using a mechanical cold-pressing process. The result is a distinctive extra virgin oil with an acidity of less than 0.3%. It reveals an intense green color and a fragrant aroma of Mediterranean herbs, with fruity notes and a hint of spiciness. On the palate, it is balanced, elegant, and delicate, with a slightly herbaceous flavor and a gently spicy aftertaste. It is the perfect oil for fresh, subtle dishes such as salads and white fish. To best enjoy its flavor, try it on freshly baked bread.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
