Source-supplied bottle description

Retained as supporting identification copy; the structured facts and evidence links above are kept separate.

The 2021 Lytton Springs was bottled in January 2023. A dry winter left the vines struggling to find water, this reduced the fruit set in all varietals especially the zinfandel. 38 parcels were harvested from September 1st to October 5th and fermented separately. 34 were selected, including vines planted in 1901 and 80 year old counoise inter-planted with cinsaut. While this will be enjoyable now, this beautiful complex wine will continue to develop over the next 10 year and beyond. 72% zinfandel, 15% petit sirah, 9% carignane, 2% Alicante bouschet, 1% cinsault and 1% counoise.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
