Located in the heart of Kamptal, one of Austria's nine great appellations, the Steimassl vineyards stretch from 240 to 340 metres above sea level, on a soil of gneiss and schist. The organically grown Rieslings benefit from ideal conditions for reaching perfect maturity. The Ried Steinmassl 1ÖTW Kamptal Riesling 2022 is beautifully fine, crystalline and herbaceous. The elegant, highly aromatic flinty nose gives way to perfectly ripe, dense apricot and peach aromas. Crystal-clear and refined on the palate, this is a full-bodied, powerful and intense Steinmassl that reflects the fresh terroir and the late harvest of ripe, concentrated fruit aromas. The wine reveals a marked phenolic grip but has enough juice and substance to integrate what is still a little too present. A very promising Riesling, persistent, salty and aromatic.
