Made from 100% Riesling grapes, this dry, mineral wine is a refined expression of the Alsace AOC, hailing from the prestigious Brandluft vineyard in Mittelbergheim, where the soil blends sand and siliceous pebbles over calcareous marl. This unique terroir lends the wine an aromatic purity and characteristic minerality, typical of the great Rieslings of Alsace. Hand-harvesting ensures a rigorous selection of the grapes. Pneumatic pressing of whole bunches, followed by static settling with filtration of the lees, preserves the fruit's finesse and freshness. Slow, temperature-controlled fermentation allows for controlled aromatic development, whilst ageing in century-old oak casks imparts a subtle woody note without masking the expression of the terroir. On the palate, this Riesling displays a distinct minerality, refreshing acidity and an elegant structure. Its clear, brilliant colour reflects the wine's purity, and its aromatic length offers a fine balance between freshness, tension and delicacy. Best served between 8 and 10°C, it is suitable for ageing for up to 10 years, gradually revealing its full complexity. It pairs beautifully with seafood, fish and shellfish, as well as white meats and traditional Alsatian sauerkraut.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
