A bright and textural Vermentino from Saraja’s new estate in Gallura, this wine expresses the variety’s Sardinian heartland with freshness, minerality, and vibrant citrus character.
Meet the Producer
Saraja, a recent project in northern Sardinia’s Gallura region, is rapidly gaining acclaim for producing expressive wines that balance modern techniques with respect for the local terroir.
Production
The Vermentino grapes grow on Guyot-trellised vines at around 350m altitude with south-easterly exposure, in soils of loam and sand with clay and quartz rocks. Hand-harvested in early September, the grapes are destemmed and softly pressed at low temperatures. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel over 15 days, followed by 6 months on lees and a further 2 months in bottle before release.
Tasting Notes
Bright citrus aromas with delicate floral hints and lightly savoury notes. The palate shows fresh acidity, lemon, and stone fruit flavours, finishing mineral, fine, and tangy. Food match Serve with seafood or simple spaghetti dressed with olive oil, garlic, and lemon zest. Grape Vermentino 100%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
