Laurent set about to catapult these wines into the stratosphere and after sweeping up at the IWC 2020 awards for their incredible 2019s, one could argue, they may have reached space itself! They were in fact the biggest winner at the awards, picking up 8 trophies, Red Winemaker of the Year (for the wonderful Christophe Briotet), as well as 15 gold, 30 silver and 7 bronze medals. Safe to say, club members lapped up last year’s allocations and the staff too have been enjoying Laurent’s wines throughout the year. It is with great pleasure therefore that we can offer these brilliant wines. Every cuvée is treated individually, without a set formula for quantity of new oak, or amount of whole bunches used, which allows each wine to offer a true and deeply satisfying expression of the individual terroirs and vintage. What we have is absolutely everything we love about Burgundy. A real sense of place. "From a single vineyard south of the village called ‘La Périere’, as has very stony vineyards. The southerly position gives good ripeness but at a slightly higher altitude to Meursault to the west there is crunchy minerality too. This shows really well already, yellow apples and sweet herbs, a trace of toasted almonds on the nose. Palate has great zip and vim, is citrussy, and stony, with grapefruit and salty limes and a refreshing, clean finish." Tom Harrow, Head Wine Guru

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
