Hailing from the iconic terroirs of Sancerre, this Sancerre Blanc highlights the mineral expression of flint, the hallmark of the vintage. Produced by J. De Villebois, this Sauvignon Blanc is vinified with precision: fermentation takes place in concrete and stainless steel vats to preserve the aromatic purity and freshness of the fruit. The colour displays a beautiful, bright lemon-yellow hue. The nose, initially subtle, gradually opens up to reveal notes of citrus, pink grapefruit and white fruits such as pear. On the palate, the attack is lively and refreshing before giving way to a fuller, rounder body. A delicate, iodine-tinged minerality provides structure and prolongs the fruity expression. The balance between freshness and richness leads to an elegant, lingering finish, true to the refined style of the great Sancerres.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
