Source-supplied bottle description

In 2010, the Claude Nouveau estate was taken over by his son-in-law Stéphane Ponsard. With just over 17 hectares, the estate in Marcheseuil has ageing reputation for its Maranges and Santenay wines. The Clos Rousseau 1er cru is no exception, with a racy, elegant nose of black berries and kirsch, and a full-bodied, intense palate with well-developed tannins. A fine bottle to treat yourself to, with excellent ageing potential! A wine to discover without delay!
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
