Grown on clay-limestone and marl soils, and drawing inspiration from the character of ‘vin jaune’ in its winemaking, this cuvée has been aged in oak barrels for four years to develop complex and expressive aromas. The nose reveals notes of dried fruit, toasted nuts, buttery tones and a hint of sweet spices. On the palate, it is lively and fresh, giving way to a full-bodied, generous roundness. This Savagnin will reach its peak in a few years’ time, but for those who can’t wait, it is already a delight to drink now, paired with exotic dishes, white meat dishes or cheese!
