The description below is the retailer’s own wording.
Situated on the outskirts of Savigny-lès-Beaune, the ‘Les Serpentières’ vineyard rests on a terroir of limestone mixed with clay, ideal for bringing out all the finesse of Pinot Noir. The grape harvest is hand-harvested, then the wine is vinified using traditional methods before being aged for 15 months in oak barrels. This Premier Cru reveals a deep ruby colour and a generous nose of black cherry and blackcurrant, enhanced by a delicate toasty note. On the palate, the texture is silky, supported by well-integrated tannins and lovely depth. A wine that is both full-bodied and precise, with a length that pairs equally well with a fine cut of beef, roast poultry, pan-fried foie gras or a selection of characterful cheeses.
