Source-supplied bottle description

Retained as supporting identification copy; the structured facts and evidence links above are kept separate.

The cherry-colored 2021 Teufelspfad Essenheim Spätburgunder shows an elegant, tart cherry and dark berry aroma intertwined with toasty, slightly oaky and peppery notes and cassis nuances. Silky and juicy, with a structure of fine tannin and acidity, this is a full-bodied, intense and vivid Spätburgunder with a tight and refreshing character and intense, stimulatingly saline finish with tart sour cherry aromas on the aftertaste. The wine is mainly based on fruit from 15- to 25-year-old vines rooting in a southwest-facing slope with limestone and calcareous marl soils. Natural cork. Tasted in October 2025.

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
