We must not forget that the Romans are responsible for planting Syrah / Shiraz in the Valais in the same period as the rest of the Rhône. We are in the presence of a perfect representation of a north-northern Rhône Syrah / Shiraz! The intensity of the nose takes you to the heart of the Valais with dried herb notes, ripe black fruit and warm spices. This depth gives way to a juicy palate with incredible elegance, not heavy but still delicious, guided by silky tannins, to a great aromatic lingering finish. A favourite Swiss Syrah / Shiraz of R. Parker!
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
