Tabalí Pedregoso Gran Reserva Viognier is a bright and expressive expression of Viognier from the Limarí Valley, planted on stony alluvial soils enriched with calcareous deposits. The valley’s unique geology—mineral-rich terraces shaped by ancient glaciers—gives the wine remarkable freshness and a delicate mineral character, distinguishing it from other Chilean Viogniers. Hand-harvested at optimal aromatic ripeness, the grapes undergo gentle whole-bunch pressing, decanting at low temperature, and fermentation in small stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts. The wine is then aged in stainless steel until bottling, producing a vibrant, aromatic wine with purity, structure, and a bright, refreshing finish.
Meet the Producer
Established in 2002, Viña Tabalí is a pioneering winery on the edge of the Atacama Desert, celebrated for precise, terroir-driven wines that showcase the distinctive character of northern and central Chile.
Production
Grapes are whole-bunch pressed to preserve acidity and freshness. The must is decanted at low temperature for 12 hours, then fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts. After fermentation, the wine is kept in stainless steel tanks until bottling, ensuring purity, aromatic intensity, and crisp minerality.
Tasting Notes
Pale golden in colour, the nose reveals citrus, orange peel, dried apricot, and white peach, complemented by subtle floral and candied fruit notes. On the palate, the wine is fresh and vibrant, with honeyed and citrus flavours layered over chalky minerality, creating a bright, elegant structure typical of Limarí Viognier. Food match Pairs beautifully with delicate seafood such as langoustine, as well as aromatic Thai or Pan-Asian cuisine. Try with seabass in ginger for a harmonious pairing. Grape Viognier 100%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
