Base vintage 2016; disgorged October 2020; cork

Taittinger always prepares its Brut Réserve blend first, and only if the vintage is deemed of sufficient quality are its other cuvées assembled. This philosophy, together with a generous inclusion of reserves and long lees age, has produced another impressively poised rendition.

The poise and precision of Brut Réserve are on point, celebrating the chardonnay ambition of the house in a pristine, pale straw hue and beautifully defined white peach and lemon fruit. Fresher, more lively and more primary than ever, lees age has but subtly drawn out nuances of brioche, spice and roast almonds. Fine acidity and gentle chalk minerality are well integrated with balanced dosage on a friendly finish of gentle integrity and amicable allure.

Tasted in 2023
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
