Founded in 1991, with the vision of the unique potential in Mendoza, Terrazas de los Andes looked for the ideal terroir around the high-altitude terraces and cool climate within Mendoza. They acquired La Perla, a century old winery, located in Peredriel, Lujan de Cuyo and modernised the winery, with sustainable equipment. After several years dedicated to transforming the vineyards, they released their fist vintage in 1996, it embodied the modern and elegant style that has continued to the day. They continued to purchase vineyards in Mendoza’s most prestigious appellations like the Uco Valley’s El Espinillo vineyard at 1650 meters above sea level, which is the 2nd highest in Mendoza. The company value sustainability, all 500ha are farmed regeneratively and organically, irrigated with local glacier water, they have recently reduced their carbon footprint by 24%.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
