Named after Chile’s most remote outpost, Motu Nui – the legendary islet off Easter Island – this expressive Sauvignon Blanc captures both the spirit of the Pacific and the freshness of Chile’s coastal vineyards. Bright, aromatic, and crisply textured, it is a beautifully vibrant white wine that rivals the finest Sauvignon Blancs from across the Pacific.

Meet the Producer

Boutinot’s winemaking team has spent over twenty years working closely with Chilean growers, sourcing grapes from some of the country’s most distinctive vineyard sites. Their focus is on harnessing Chile’s diverse terroirs to produce wines that combine purity, vibrancy, and elegance.

Production

Sauvignon Blanc grapes are sourced from three premium vineyard sites in Leyda and San Antonio, just 10km from the Pacific Ocean. The cool coastal breezes allow for slow, even ripening, preserving natural citrus intensity while building aromatic complexity. Harvested early, the fruit undergoes cool fermentation in stainless steel to retain freshness. A short period on fine lees adds depth and texture before early bottling to capture the wine’s purity and vibrancy.

Tasting Notes

Aromatic and lively with citrus, gooseberry, and herbaceous notes. The coastal influence gives a distinctive freshness and minerality, while the palate is crisp, textured, and delightfully moreish. A style reminiscent of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, yet with a unique Chilean character. Food match Perfect with simply grilled fish and lemon, or a classic goat’s cheese salad. Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
