Described by Robert Parker as producing some of the world’s most notable sweet wines, Domaine de Tirecul delivers opulent yet beautifully balanced dessert wines that rival the greatest from anywhere. Rich in flavour yet lifted by refreshing acidity, they are indulgent without ever being cloying.
Production
Crafted from hand-selected, botrytised grapes, this wine could qualify as Sélection de Grains Nobles . However, it is often released earlier than the minimum 18 months’ ageing requirement. With around 140g/l residual sugar, the palate remains perfectly poised thanks to the estate’s hallmark acidity, ensuring freshness and length alongside sumptuous sweetness.
Tasting Notes
A tropical style with pineapple and exotic fruit at its core. Lively acidity cuts through the richness, creating a wine that is both luxurious and enticingly moreish. Food match A delightful partner to creamy, citrusy puddings such as posset or syllabub – or enjoy as a dessert in its own right. Grape Semillon 60%, Muscadelle 30%, Chenin Blanc 10%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
