Tombacco Archivio Pecorino is a classic expression of one of Abruzzo's most exciting native varieties — fresh, floral and full of character. Sourced from vineyards across the province of Chieti, this is a wine that captures the essence of central Italy in every glass.
Why You'll Love It
Pecorino is one of Italy's great white grapes, and Tombacco's Archivio bottling is a textbook example of why. Crafted using careful reductive techniques to lock in freshness and aromatics, this is a wine that delivers real elegance and tension at an exceptional price. If you love crisp, expressive Italian whites, this is one not to miss.
Vineyard & Production
Fruit is sourced from select vineyards in the Chieti province of Abruzzo, a region renowned for its Pecorino. Reductive vinification begins at harvest to protect the grapes from oxidation. After pressing, the must undergoes a minimum four-hour maceration to enhance aromatics, followed by gentle re-pressing and cool, static clarification before fermentation preserving every nuance of the variety.
Tasting Notes
Straw-yellow in colour with an elegant bouquet of acacia and jasmine. On the palate, flavours of melon, pear and white peach are carried by medium acidity, finishing fresh, lightly textured and beautifully balanced.
Perfect Pairings
A natural partner for seafood think grilled sea bass, prawn linguine, or a classic seafood platter. Also excellent with light pasta dishes, grilled chicken, soft cheeses, or simply enjoyed on its own as an aperitivo. The Grape Pecorino 100%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
