Discover Paul Hobbs’ Mendoza Malbec and premium Argentine wines from Viña Cobos . Crafted with elegance and balance, these world-class wines showcase the unique terroir of Luján de Cuyo and Valle de Uco. Viticulture The fruit comes from Luján de Cuyo, historically Mendoza’s “prime zone” for wine-growing.
Vineyards
are situated at 3,250–3,470 feet (990–1,060 meters) in a semi-desert climate, with low-nutrient, gravelly soils ideal for producing concentrated, high-quality grapes. All grapes are hand-harvested to ensure optimal ripeness.
Winemaking
The wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, with a small proportion of first-use barrels. Each lot is vinified separately, allowing the final blend to be carefully determined after aging. The wine is bottled unfined to preserve its natural purity and complexity. Tasting Note Deep ruby red with violet hues, the wine displays aromas of red fruit, plum, graphite, and subtle floral notes. The palate is round and balanced, with sweet, juicy tannins and a smooth, lingering finish. Food Matching Ideal with succulent roasted meats, such as a slow-roasted leg of lamb.

Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
