A captivating field blend from the high-altitude vineyards of Zamora, combining history, complexity, and approachability. Juicy and full-bodied, this dry red offers smooth tannins and a subtle oak influence, perfectly balanced by the inclusion of white grape varieties in the blend.
Meet the Producer
Viñas del Cenit, based in Villanueva de Campeán on the left bank of the Duero, specialises in wines that reflect the unique character of Castilla y León’s terroir.
Production
Multiple grape varieties are grown together in this historic vineyard, at around 800 metres altitude. The vines, averaging 80–100 years old, flourish in clay and sandy soils. Grapes are hand-harvested and co-fermented plot by plot in small presses. The wine is aged for six months in used French oak barrels before bottling.
Tasting Notes
A rich, juicy red with full body and smooth texture. The palate is dry and harmonious, with well-integrated oak adding subtle complexity while softening the tannins. Food match Ideal with juicy, fatty slow-cooked meats such as lamb shank or pork shoulder. Grape Tempranillo 65%, Doña Blanca 30%, Garnacha 5%
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
