This ‘Rendez-vous de Septembre' cuvée is an excellent introduction to the expertise and commitment to quality that the Rijckaert estate offers across Burgundy's prestigious appellations. The only cuvée blended immediately after pressing – hence its name – it is made from grapes grown on plots with fine clay soils, producing wines that are both generous and expressive. Made from Chardonnay, this wine is a blend of complementary origins, combining limestone from the Middle and Lower Bajocian periods with varying layers of red clay. This diversity of terroirs brings both structure and complexity. Lively and full of freshness, this Viré-Clessé charms with its balance between richness and minerality, the hallmark of this superb appellation. Its long finish, delicate and subtly minty, irresistibly invites us to give in to the temptation of a second glass… or even more if the mood takes us!

Evidence boundary

This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
