The wine
Yarra Yering, Dry Red Wine 'No 1' 2020 (75cl) is recorded as a 2020 red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Malbec in Bordeaux, Australia.
Typical grape profile: Cabernet Sauvignon — Blackcurrant, cedar, graphite; ages well, especially in Bordeaux blends; Petit Verdot — Deeply coloured with violet, blackberry and spice; usually a small blending component in Bordeaux. The finished bottle can differ with vintage and winemaking.

Est. delivery in August, 2026 Bailey Carrodus planted Yarra Yering in 1969, and the Dry Red No. 1 has been one of Australia's most singular wines ever since. It is a Bordeaux blend in structure only; the Yarra Valley's cool elevation and volcanic soils give it something altogether different from anything you'd find in the Médoc: a leaner, more aromatic profile, with dark cherry and dried herb sitting alongside graphite and earth rather than the riper cassis of warmer climates. The 2020 vintage was one of the cooler years, and that shows as tautness and precision rather than generosity.
Evidence boundary
This page combines the recorded bottle identity with linked source records. An exact region-name match supplies regional context but does not prove that this bottle carries the protected designation. A vineyard is only shown as bottle-level evidence when a wine-to-vineyard link exists. BottlePicker does not infer a vineyard, soil or site climate from a retailer title.
