The result is a single pot still Irish whiskey with a genuinely unique character, shaped by one of California's most celebrated wine estates. Why You'll Love It Green Spot Montelena begins its life in traditional sherry and bourbon casks before spending 12 months in French oak Zinfandel wine casks from Chateau Montelena. Those Zinfandel grapes, nurtured in Napa Valley's rich volcanic soil and harvested by hand in the cool of night, bring ripe, spicy berry flavours to the casks, and in turn to the whiskey. The finish adds pomegranate, cranberry, and maraschino cherry to the classic Green Spot pot still character, creating something that is both familiar and entirely new. Distillery and Production Midleton Distillery, County Cork, Ireland. Single pot still Irish whiskey, bonded exclusively for Mitchell and Son of Dublin. Initially matured in bourbon and sherry casks, then finished for 12 months in French oak Zinfandel wine casks from Chateau Montelena, Napa Valley. Bottled at 46% ABV. Tasting Notes Nose: Crisp oak with soft sweetness of vanilla, white chocolate, and marshmallow, balanced with signature Green Spot red apples and ripe pears, along with pomegranate, cranberries, and maraschino cherries from the wine cask. Palate: Sweet and mouth-coating, taking on a dry note from the wine cask influence. Pot still spices subside with zesty citrus leading to ripe orchard fruit and red berries. A touch of marzipan and toasted oak add complexity. Finish: Long and harmonious, combining classic pot still spice with a delicate Zinfandel wine
