The Colheita 2008 Port is a distinguished single-vintage tawny port from Portugal’s Douro Valley. Crafted with care and aged in oak casks, it reflects the elegance and complexity that only time can bring. Production This wine comes from hand-harvested grapes grown in the Douro’s steep vineyards. After fermentation, it was fortified with grape spirit and aged for over a decade in seasoned oak barrels. The long ageing process has given this Colheita a remarkable depth of flavour and a silky texture. Tasting Notes Deep amber in colour with golden highlights. The nose reveals layers of dried fruits, roasted nuts, caramel and subtle spice. On the palate, it is rich and smooth, offering flavours of figs, dates, toffee and hints of vanilla, balanced by lively acidity. The finish is long, warming and beautifully nutty.
