About this wine

Domaine de Grange Neuve, Monbazillac is a luscious, expressive dessert wine from the heart of Périgord. Rich and rounded, with aromas of orange marmalade, ripe apricot and nectarine, lifted by fresh acidity and a hint of bitter orange on the finish. Meet the Producer Located in Pomport near Bergerac, Domaine de Grange Neuve is owned by the Pichon and Castaing families and is situated in the scenic Périgord region. The vineyards benefit from river slopes and a unique microclimate along the Dordogne, which promotes the development of botrytis, essential for this style of sweet wine. Production Vines average 25 years of age. Grapes are hand-harvested very late in the season, over three successive triages, to select only the ripest fruit. Harvest takes place in October and November. The grapes are gently pressed in a pneumatic press, and the juice is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is then matured for 24 months before bottling. Tasting Notes A fabulous, luscious dessert wine with a backbone of fresh acidity. The palate is rounded and generous, with flavours of orange marmalade, ripe apricots, and nectarines, finished with a subtle twist of bitter orange. Food Match Traditionally served as an apéritif, it also pairs beautifully with pâté or blue cheeses such as Roquefort. Grape Varieties Sémillon 80%, Sauvignon Blanc 10%, Muscadelle 10%
